Ba Dinh District: Over 6000 weddings organized in a civilized lifestyle

Of the total of 7,516 weddings having been held in Ba Dinh District since 2012, 6,325 (84.15%) have been organized in the spirit of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU on continuing to conduct a civilized lifestyle in weddings. Of the total of 7,516 weddings having been held in Ba Dinh District since 2012, 6,325 (84.15%) have been organized in the spirit of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU on continuing to conduct a civilized lifestyle in weddings.

The number was announced at the conference on review of 5 years of implementing the Directive No. 11-CT/TU held by the 15th Hanoi Party Committee in Ba Dinh District in the afternoon of July 20.

Over the past five years, Party committees, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front branches, and socio-political organizations of Ba Dinh District have promoted the dissemination of information and mobilized, organized the implementation of a civilized lifestyle in weddings. The implementation of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU has been widely supported by officials, Party members, and the people. Ba Dinh Party Committee has affirmed that weddings in the district have mainly been organized in a traditional way and a courteous manner with tea parties for guests and banquets served for relatives and close friends of the brides and grooms only.

Some wards in the district also initiated to hold warm ceremonies for the granting of certificates of marriage, actively contributing to the dissemination of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU.

Ba Dinh Party Committee will continue to instruct for better implementation of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU in the coming time in association with the “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban environment” campaign, aiming at reaching and exceeding the target assigned by the city authorities.
