Three gold medals that Hanoi athletes won in the tournament, including: in the competition for individual female, athlete Do Thu Ha won the gold medal in the weight class under 45 kg; Athlete To ThiTrang won the gold medal in the weight class under 48kg. In the competition for Femaleteam: The gold medal for female team belonged to: Do ThiAnhTuyet, Do Thu Ha, ToThiTrang.

The 2018 National Youth Judo Championship takes place from July 23 to July 28. There are nearly 300 coaches and athletes from 25 provinces and cities across the country, including Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, BacNinh, NinhBinh, PhuTho, ThanhHoa, ThuaThien – Hue, BinhThuan, TayNinh, Binh Duong, BinhPhuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ben Tre ,TraVinh, Dong Thap, HauGiang, SocTrang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Police and Military.
Athletes participating in the tournament range from 16 to 19 years old, competing in 18 individual weight classes (including 9 individual male weight classes, 9 individual female weight classes) and two teammates classes (male and female teammates).

According to the organization board’s assessment, this year’s tournament gathered a team of qualified athletes, thus creating many exciting matches. The tournament is also an opportunity for young Judo athletes in local exchanges to learn and experience through competitions to improve their tactical skills. At the same time, it helps professionals to check and evaluate the training and ranking of Judo athletes of localities and branches, thereby detecting typical and promising athletes for selection, investment in and trainingto fill the national team competing in regional and international tournaments.
