This year’s tournament attracted 171 athletes from 19 units, provinces, cities across the country. The athletes competed in 4 contents including one-bowstring-bow for men and women; 3-bowstring-bow for men and women from April 3 to April 9 at the Vinh Long Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.
In this year’s tournament, besides key athletes such as Nguyen Tien Cuong of Hanoi, Chau Kieu Oanh, Phuong Thao, Nhat Le, etc. the experts also expect a lot from the progress of young archers. Therefore, the quality of this year’s tournament is promised to be improved.
The 2018 National Best Archer Championships is in the national competition system to test and assess the performance of athletes. Through competition, more excellent athletes shall be selected to participate in the International Archery Awards, especially it is to test the preparation to attend the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
After this tournament, in order to prepare for ASIAD 2018 in this April, the Vietnamese archery team will attend the World Archery Cup held in Shanghai (China), followed by training in Korea in May and attending the third round of the Asian Archery Cup in Taiwan (China).
