On the morning of 20th April 2017, at the Fine Arts and Photography Exhibition Centre (No. 29 Hang Bai street, Hoan Kiem district), Ha Noi Association of Arts Photography held a 2017 Art Photos Festival for Ha Noi Photography Clubs with the title “All the ways of the country”.
Being annually taking place, this year festival was much more bigger than that of the last year. The Organizing committee had received over 1,900 works of 282 photographers from 16 Photography Clubs in Ha Noi, of which more than 60 per cent were young photographers.
The submitted works seemed to be the serious hard works and creativeness of the photographers, in conveying a message of people and country of Viet Nam in the cause of national construction and defence. Over the process of ratings and judgement by the Jury Board comprised of senior and experienced photographers in producing and appraisal, 16 outstanding works had been selected, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 10 consolence prizes. The photo titled “Installing equipments of No.3 turbine at Lai Chau hydro-power station” by photographer Nguyen Tat Loc was given the first prize. According to the Organizing Committee, this was the photo illustrating the industrial beauty in the process of advancing to national industrialization and modernization. It did not bear the roughness of an industrial picture, but it had brilliant colours within the sharp shooting angle. By which it helped enhancing the enormousness of a modern industrial power complex in Viet Nam.
The Organizing Committee had chosen 148 representative photos for display at the Exhibition Centre of Fine Arts and Photography. The exhibition was opened from 20 till 24 April, 2017.
