However, due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic and the increase in cases and sources of infection, causing non-safety for players and members participating, the organizers decided to suspend the V.League 1 until the end of March 2020.
Due to Covid-19, the 2020 V.League 1 is postponed for a second time
It is known that the Executive Board will regularly update the situation and development of the Covid-19 pandemic to develop a plan for adjusting the appropriate schedule, and promptly report to the VFF and notify the clubs.
The Executive Board suggested that the clubs should strengthen the management of players, regularly monitor and comply with the Covid-19 pandemic prevention regulations.
The Organizers coordinated with the Department of Health to seriously implement the implementation of measures to prevent and control COVID-19 and proactively clean and disinfect the related items, ensuring safety and readiness when the tournament resumes.
Previously, the 2020 V.League 1 was adjourned from February 7 to March 6 because of the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On March 13, the Organizing Board also announced the postponement of the matches of V. League 2 in March. Along with that, many sports tournaments in Vietnam are also suspended including F1 in Hanoi.
