The exhibition introduces 107 works and sets of works by 56 authors selected by the Art Council out of 278 works by 120 authors from 25 provinces/cities sent to participate after more than 4 months of launching. 06 equal prizes were awarded for works of excellent quality in two categories of Artistic Ceramics and Applied Ceramics.

This exhibition takes place in a difficult context due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although it is not possible to gather and introduce fully the creative achievements of artists and ceramicists across the country, the works selected for display and awarding have shown a new, open and friendly nuance, good quality, worthy to represent the current Vietnamese ceramic art. It is the result of the creativity and dedication of the authors in preserving and promoting the quintessence of traditional ceramic art and the discoveries that bring the breath of the times.

This is an opportunity for the art-loving public to admire the variety of ceramic materials and the richness in shaping works. Besides artistic ceramic works of artists and sculptors with diverse and new approaches to materials and forms, there are many applied ceramic works of talented artisans from traditional pottery villages. Standing with decorative ceramic works, there are works rich in artistic ideas, with social content, profound human philosophy, and clear sculptural structure. The combination of visual elements of painting, the language of sculpture in design creation, the quintessential inheritance of traditional ceramics with discoveries in enamel color, shape, decoration… has created modern ceramic works with high aesthetic value.

Some of the works introduced at the exhibition:
