In the morning of July 26, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union – Hanoi City Council organized the First Open Table Tennis Championship for Children and Teens 2018.

First Open Table Tennis Championship for Children and Teens 2018 of the Capital were organized by the City Council, based on the actual needs of teens and children on the movement of sports, as well as the passion and love of table tennis. This event is also part of a series of activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the expansion of Hanoi’s administrative boundaries (1/8/2008 – 1/8/2018); towards the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of September 2. And this event is one of the nine major activities of the capital youth to celebrate 10th anniversary of adjustment of administrative boundaries of Hanoi.
This is the first time that the event has been organized, but it attracted the participation of 250 athletes from 34 units in districts, towns; Sports Center of the city, the provinces in the north such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh and Ha Nam…
Athletes of 4 age groups from 7 to 15 years old competed to win 12 sets of medals, including single and teammate competition.
Through this Championship, the City Youth Union – City Council wishes to increasingly organize the healthy and useful playgrounds for children, step by step contributing to the building of the future generations of the country, who are not only healthy but also sound spiritually.
The Championship will end on July 27, 2018.
