Presenting the Speech to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the City Youth Union said that after 30 years of re-establishment, Vietnam Youth Union continues to grow and expand in both scale and quality… Especially, in the past 2 years, when the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic complicatedly developed in Hanoi and many provinces, cities and capital young people have jointly established a “blue shirt line”, diversified activities: propaganda for prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic; building communication products on social networks; join the community Covid-19 team; donate each safety bag, etc. for free distribution at public places; transport furniture and food in isolation areas for patients; participate in quarantine and blockade checkpoints; establish supermarkets, free booths, ATMs for necessities, and rescue agricultural products; cook millions of meals to support people in difficult circumstances; participate in researching products and equipment to support pandemic prevention, etc.

With the outstanding contributions of generations of officials, members and youths of the Capital, the City Youth Union has been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party, State, Hanoi City and awards from international youth organizations.

At the program, the stories told from the exchange “The chivalrous people tell the love stories” in the form of live combined online with the southern bridge points, is the touching highlight of the journey of the youth of the capital. Starting with “PVC warriors” overcoming health difficulties with cancer to continue the volunteer trips; doctors and nurses from the southern pandemic centers and members of the Young Doctors’ Association campaigned for voluntary blood donation; and ended with representatives of young businesspeople and international students participating in the Association’s movements. Each story, each guest is an example of young people living beautifully, living usefully for the society, and at the same time, they are proofs of the effectiveness of the association’s work of solidarity, attraction and gathering of young people.

At the program, the exchange “The chivalrous people tell the love stories” in the form of live combined online with the southern bridge points, is an emotional highlight telling about the journey of young people in the Capital towards to celebrate the 65th traditional day of the Association. The exchange program was set up according to the lines of characters representing associations and clubs under the City Youth Union: Starting with “PVC warriors” who overcame cancer to continue with volunteer trips; doctors and nurses from the southern pandemic centers and members of the Young Doctors’ Association campaigned for voluntary blood donation; and ended with representatives of young businesspeople and international students participating in the Association’s movements. Each story, each guest is an example of young people living beautifully, living usefully for the society, and at the same time, they are proofs of the effectiveness of the association’s work of solidarity, attraction and gathering of young people.

Speaking at the Program, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyen congratulated, recognized and praised the proud results achieved by the City Youth Union in recent years; and would like to express our sincere gratitude to the outstanding contributions of generations of officers, members and youth of the Capital in different periods.

Congratulating and praising 30 “living beautifully” youth examples and 35 collectives receiving the “October 15” Award were honored, she emphasized that the deeds of collectives and individuals are worthy of respect and pride, it is the essence and spirit of the youth of the Capital; has the effect of encouraging and spreading for the young generation to continue to dedicate themselves to the cause of building and developing the capital and the country.

Individuals are commended and rewarded at the Program.

To recognize the contributions of individuals to the work of the Association and the youth movement, the City Youth Union’s Committee decided to award the Youth of Good Life Award to 30 individuals and the “October 15” Award to 35 excellent typical collectives, who are working, studying and living both at home and abroad.

Typical and excellent collectives are rewarded at the Program.

Within the framework of the program, the delegates had the opportunity to visit the photo exhibition “Imprint of the Vietnam Youth Union in Hanoi”, visit the display area of 15 pickup trucks, inflatable boats that directly participate in activities to support regions and regions during peak times of pandemic and natural disasters and floods.
