The plan aims to proactively and drastically prevent, detect quickly and strictly control the source of infection (both domestically and overseas); organize isolation or supervision of people who have contacted patients under the guidance of the Ministry of Health; to be best prepared and ready for any situation; continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of “fighting against pandemics like fighting against the enemy”; to be ready to sacrifice economic benefits to protect the health and life of the people; to continue to effectively implement measures to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemics in Culture, Sports and Tourism activities to meet the new situation.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires units nationwide under the Culture, Sports and Tourism branch to strictly and drastically implement the instructions of the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of Secretariat, directives, messages and guiding documents of the Prime Minister, the messages and the guiding documents of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and enhance the role and responsibilities of central and local state management agencies in the prevention and control of COVID-19.
Ensuring safety for visitors to Hanoi
The Ministry requires its subordinate units to promptly, fully, publicly and transparently inform pandemic developments in Vietnam; focus on selective coverage for social stability;
It is required to promote the propaganda and visual advocacy to the people on the measures to prevent and control COVID-19; recommends to limit the crowds, contact to people with the pandemic; instruct the use of personal protective equipment;
It is required to cooperate with functional agencies in detecting and dealing with organizations and individuals that disperse false information about the pandemic situation, promptly prevent false and inaccurate rumors and information about the pandemic situation, which confuses the community;
At the same time, it is required to perform well the supervision, specifically, closely supervise visitors at cultural and historical relics, landscapes; screen and test to detect suspected cases through body temperature measurement; carry out a regular risk assessment to implement appropriate and effective timely prevention and control measures.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also assigns specific tasks to its affiliated units such as the Agency of Grassroots Culture, the Directorate of Physical Training and Sports, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Agency of Cultural Heritage, Vietnam Cinema Department, and so on to have specific and effective plans in the prevention and control of COVID-19; assign tasks to Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Culture, Sports, Information and Tourism, Departments of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of centrally-governed provinces and cities to advise on documents on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic caused in the field of culture, sports and tourism; propose and organize the implementation of effective solutions for pandemic prevention and control in localities; summarize and regularly report on prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in the field of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
