“Beauty of the mountains and forests” has many special events, taking place from 1st to 31st December. Visitors to Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village have the opportunity to learn the quintessence of traditional crafts through the beauty of brocade weaving of ethnic groups who are active daily at this special “common house”, and prepare to welcome the New Year 2022.

Activities with the theme “Beauty of the mountains and forests” have the participation of nearly 100 people from 13 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Co Tu, Ede, Khmer) are living daily in the village with ethnic artisans from 11 localities (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Soc Trang).

On this occasion, the Ba Na ethnic people in Gia Lai province will recreate the ritual of offering dyeng toc brai, display products, introduce the processes to create a textile product such as the technique of turning cotton, cotton rolling, dyeing, spinning, weaving, etc. Ta Oi ethnic people, Thua Thien Hue province recreate the ritual of offering zeng, recreate the process to have a sheet complete zeng.

To help the public understand more about the spiritual life, culture and beliefs of ethnic minorities, there are many other activities such as: Introducing the reunion dinner tray and entertainment activities at the end of the year of ethnic groups, activities to experience food culture, watch art, learn about traditional folk art forms, and folk games.

In addition, there is also a puppet show, the program “Central Highlands – Mexican sunflower season” on the weekend and experience diverse and unique cuisines of the ethnic groups.
