Exploring foreign folk games at Viet Nam Ethnology Museum

This is a practical and significant activity organized by Viet Nam Ethnology Museum on the occassion of the International Children’s Day (1st June), in contribution to the eanhancement of the cultural institution’s role, encouraging the exploration and introduction of other countries’s cultures.  Kid folk game of Indonesia Partcipating in the programme, visitors and especially kids..

Partcipating in the programme, visitors and especially kids will be able to join playing the Vietnamese folk games as well other countries’s, including: Hopping game (India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam); checker board game (Indonesia,Thailand, Viet Nam); flag seizing game (Cambodia, Thailand, Viet Nam); coconut shell walking (Brunei, Laos,Viet Nam)… The programme has been directly instructed by foreign students who are living and studying in Viet Nam.

By the games, kids will be able to explore the similarities and differrences between the Vietnamese games and other countries’. This  is a good opportunity for them to improve their understanding of the traditional culture of Viet Nam as well as others’ in the region, so that they learn how to honour the cultural heritages of the country and the world as well.
