On the afternoon of January 30, Hanoi People’s Committee met and rewarded the Vietnam U23 team as well as the players of the teams in Hanoi for participating in the team which have achieved the succes in the final of 2018 Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship.
At the meeting were Nguyen Duc Chung – Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee; Ngo Van Quy, Vice Chairman of City People’s Committee; Nguyen Doan Toan, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee and the representatives of the city’s departments.
At the meeting, the coach of the U23 national football team, Park Hang Seo expressed his gratitude for the welcome of the leadership of Hanoi and Hanoi’s citizen. Park Hang Seo said, ” Thanks to the support of people in Vietnam in genaral as well as in Hanoi in particular, the team won the Asian runner-up in the AFC U23 Championship. On the day of the team’s return to Vietnam after the tour in China, I was surprised to see the influx of people rush to welcome our team. I and the board of coach will do our best to help the player to promote their abilities to meet the football expectations of the people in the country.
On behalf of the leaders of Hanoi City, Chairman of the People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung gave the congratulations to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Football Federation, the Training Committee, the players of football club T & T and Viettel in Hanoi.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said that the dedication and hard work of the Vietnam U23 team has brought the trust and passion of the people in the country as well as in the capital for Vietnam football.
In order to acknowledge and timely motivate the groups and the individuals to make outstanding achievements in the 2018 U23 Asian Football Championship, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung signed the Decision No. 550 / QĐ-UBND on 30 / 1/2018 for rewarding extraordinary achievements and rewarded money for Hanoi Football Club, athletes of Hanoi to participate in the tournament according to regulations.
