The National Drama Festival 2021 ended on the morning of November 17, 2021 after nearly 2 weeks of exciting events held in Hai Phong city. The festival drew the participation of more than 600 artists and actors from 20 theater art units with 14 competing works.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals for excellent performances. In which, 6 gold medals belonged to the plays “Lang song sinh” (The village of twins) by Hanoi Drama Theatre; “Thien menh” (The will of God) and ”Dieu con lai” (The remaining) by Vietnam Drama Theatre; “Con do cua me” (Mother’s boat) by People’s Public Security Theatre; “Ho den” (Black hole) by the Army’s Drama Theatre; and ”Lam vua” (Being a King) by Le Ngoc Theatre.

The three plays winning silver medals include: “Duong chan troi” (Street Horizon) by Hai Phong Drama Troupe, “Hoan Thu ghen” (Hoan Thu Jealousy) by SK Club “Sea of rendezvous” (Bien hen) – Hai Phong Stage’s Association – Kieu School Association, “Gio nguoc chieu” (Go against the wind” by Youth Theater.
At the closing of the Festival, the excellent actors and actresses were honoured with 28 gold, 42 silver and 16 bronze medals.
In addition, Nguyen Dang Chuong, People’s Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu, musician Duc Trinh and Meritorious Artist Doan Bang received best author, best director, musician and painter awards, respectively.
The plays “Lang song sinh” by Hanoi Drama Theatre won the gold medal
For Hanoi Drama Theater, this is a successful festival. The theater attended the National Drama Festival 2021 with 2 plays: “Ha thanh chinh khi” and “Lang song sinh”. In which, the play “Lang song sinh” was awarded the Gold medal; People’s Artist Trung Hieu won the Festival’s Best Director award. In addition, outstanding artists Quang Thang, artist Thien Tung, and artist Tien Loc won individual gold medals. Meritorious Artist Thu Hanh, Meritorious Artist Tien Minh, Artist Thuy Duong, Artist Xuan Hong, and Artist Quang Minh won silver medals, 3 artists Diem Huong, Thuy Anh, and Chi Nhan won bronze medals.
