After 5 years of implementing the Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW of the Political Bureau (XI term) on “Orientations and tasks for development of Ha Noi Capital for the phase of 2011-2020”, Long Bien district has placed much attention to the urban construction and planning management. Along the line, the work of planning and management according to planning have been effectively carried out, making a considerable contribution to investment attraction in the area.

The urban management in Long Bien district has witnessed positive and notable changes; the environmental management and protection have been stepped up. The district has transformed the process of garbage collection and transport in the area. In implementation of the model of “green, clean and civilized streets”, the public’s concensus and change in their awareness have been gradually achieved. Besides, the upgrade of quality clean water supply and the lighting system in the area have been ensured. The investment, rehabilitation, exploitation and protection of the network of lakes, parks, green trees have been attached with great importance.
Together with the above results, the urban construction and planning management in the district area are still remaining certain constraints in terms of land and environmental resource management; the environmental polution is slow to be improved. Additionally, the urban management and orderly urban construction are changing, but not really in a sustainable manner; the sense of observing the urban civilized life style in some parts of the entire community is not high.
In the coming time, in order to well implement the palnning and planning mangement, Long Bien district will proactively select and prioritize main feasible tasks; effectively pool all resources in the the planning work and planning management. At the same time, it will make full use in a creative way of the Party and State’ guidelines and City’s mechanism and policies to be applied on the current situation of the district..
The district will continue to give priorities to the investment and development of the socio-economic-technological infrastructures in a synchronogical manner. Additionally, it will mobilize all resources for urban development sustainably, in an effort that to build the district ever more civilized and modernized.
