Following the direction of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Ung Hoa District Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Culture and Information to survey the site and select suitable topics before constructing the murals in 3 newly upgraded rural communes. After agreeing on the location, the District Youth Union mobilized hundreds of union members, young people, painters, students, and art teachers in schools to decorate and paint the walls at different public locations; cultural houses; schools; walls are peeling, mossy, unsightly by classified ads; inter-village roads of 3 communes…with the desire to beautify the village more prosperous, creating excitement among the people. Up to now, each commune has painted hundreds of square meters of mural paintings with images that are vividly reproduced through each detailed, meticulous, feat, impressive color, ensuring artistic elements. Throughout the village streets, alleys, mural paintings with close and familiar content bring the beauty of the old village mixed with the changes of the new countryside today, with themes such as History, culture, people of Ung Hoa land, village scenery, local agricultural products, happy families, innovative countryside, environmental protection, traffic safety, COVID-19 pandemic prevention, fun activities, etc. Each picture conveys a meaningful message, contributing to cheering and encouraging the people, union members, and young people to raise their awareness and responsibility to build the homeland. There is not only a peaceful village scene but also a cultural space with village love and neighborliness.

Communes such as Hoa Son, Lien Bat, Hoa Nam organized a contest “Keeping village roads and alleys green, clean and beautiful”. The Youth Union of 3 communes coordinated with cultural officials of communes, villages and schools to organize mural painting to propagate environmental protection, planting flowers, trees, COVID-19 disease prevention, children’s play activities, etc. at the wall point on the main road in the villages and schools. Union members, youth in particular, people in 3 communes, in general, are very excited to contribute with the locality in keeping the village bright – green – clean – beautiful.

The renewal of the walls with art paintings contributes significantly to beautifying the rural landscape, removing garbage spots and limiting pasting advertising leaflets and changing people’s perception of responsibility for the community in keeping the environment clean, bringing a brighter and more vibrant living space. This is the effort of the government and people of Ung Hoa district, especially union members and youth. Up to now, the three communes of Hoa Nam, Hoa Son and Lien Bat have basically met the newly-advanced rural criteria. In the coming time, Ung Hoa district will deploy to 29 communes and towns in the district, contributing to building an increasingly innovative homeland, worthy of the livable countryside.
