In the afternoon of July 17, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic organized the Opening Ceremony to the “Beauty of the Country and the People of Laos” Photo Exhibition. This is part of a series of activities in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Agreement.

In his speech at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Duong Van Quynh, Director of the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, emphasized that the 2017 “Vietnamese Cultural and Tourism days in Laos” and “Laotian Cultural and Tourism days in Vietnam” were organized in the significant month of the Vietnam-Laos relations in 2017 and were attended by high-ranking Leaders of the two Parties and the two States of Vietnam and Laos. The organization of the “Beauty of the Country and the People of Laos” Photo Exhibition in Vietnam not only enhances the traditional relationship, understanding, friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, but also contributes to the success of the 2017 “Vietnamese Cultural and Tourism days in Laos” and “Laotian Cultural and Tourism days in Vietnam”, establishing the foundations for consolidating and enhancing the Viet-Lao cultural exchanges.

The exhibition features over 100 photos, introducing the beauty of the country, the friendliness of the Lao people, and the extraordinary friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
The exhibited photos offer Vietnamese and international audiences in Hanoi an opportunity to observe and admire the beauty of the country, culture, and people of Laos and the friendly and loyal cooperative relationship between Laos and Vietnam through a photographic perspective.
The Exhibition lasts until July 21.
