In the morning of March 12, at the Hanoi Museum, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organized the opening of “Hanoi – belief and aspiration to rise” exhibition. It is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Hanoi City Party Committee’s founding (March 17, 1930 – March 17, 2020).
The attendees included Ms Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Member of Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Hanoi City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Member of City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Head of Hanoi City Propaganda and Education Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Head of City Party’s Central Commission for Mass Mobilization; Mr. Ngo Van Quy, Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee.

90 years ago, Hanoi City Party Committee was established at No. 42 Hang Thiec, marking the maturity of the Capital’s Revolution movement under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The event also opened a new revolutionary period of Hanoi City Party Committee and Hanoi people, thus contributing to the nation’s great victory in the era of national independence associated with socialism.
90 years had passed with many ups and downs. Under the leadership of the City’s Party Committee, Hanoi Capital has made strong progress, worthy of its position as the heart of the Fatherland, the national political-administrative center, the major center of culture – science – education – economics and international transactions. Such great result stems from the correct and creative leadership of the City’s Party Committees over periods, following closely the direction of the Central Government on the building of a strong political system as the core to promote the strength of the entire people.
The exhibition is divided into 4 parts. The first part exhibits precious documentary photos about President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi. The second part, entitled “Historical milestones”, introduces the Congresses and the process of Hanoi City Party Committee’s establishment and direction of revolutionary movements to overcome many difficulties and challenges and gain many important achievements.

The third part exhibits and introduces the beautiful and impressive images of the Capital’s development and innovation for increasing modernization and civilization with the theme “Belief and aspiration”. Worthy to be the national political-administrative center, the major center of culture – science – education – economics and international transactions of the whole country, Hanoi has been striving and joining hands to promote the cause of industrialization – modernization.
The fourth part with the theme “Love together with the Party” brings the public with images of the glorious achievements which Hanoi has gained over 90 years under the leadership of the glorious Party.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Mr. To Van Dong, Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, affirmed: “Proud of the heroic past and the glorious present, the Hanoi City Party Committee and the people of the Capital always trust in the leadership of the Party with new hopes and good anticipation. This belief has been, and will be, transformed into concrete deeds so that the Party Committee, the political system and all classes of Hanoi people will uphold the spirit of solidarity and attempt to accomplish the political tasks assigned.”
With nearly 200 selected photographic works and valuable documentaries and many valuable artifacts, the “Hanoi – belief and aspiration to rise” exhibition is a journey to look back on the glorious historical milestones over 90 glorious years of Hanoi City Party Committee and Hanoi people, at the same time, affirms that these achievements have and will give strength and confidence for the Party Committee and Hanoi people to be firm on the cause of building and developing the Capital, worthy of the trust and love of the Vietnamese people and international friends.
“Hanoi – belief and aspiration to rise” exhibition at the Hanoi Museum will last from March 12 to the end of March 20, 2020.
