Football league for the Capital public servants, employees and armed force officers- the fifth Lao Dong Thu Do Newspaper Cup was in the set of activities held by the City, the Municipal Confederation of Labor to celebrate big events in 2019, namely: 44th anniversary of the South Liberation for national reunification (30/4/1975-30/04/2019), 133th anniversary of International Labor Day (01/05/1886-01/05/2019), welcoming Labor Month, 129th birthday of Ho Chi Minh president, 65 years of Hanoi liberation (10/10/1954 – 10/10/2019). In addition, this event is one of 10 outstanding activities in 90th anniversary of Vietnam Trade Union (18/07/1929-18/07/2019).

Football league for the Capital public servants, employees and armed force officers- the fifth Lao Dong Thu Do Newspaper Cup is a traditional movement sport event for public servants, employees and armed force officers in Hanoi and adjacent provinces. Hanoi Labor Confederation is the directing unit, Lao Dong Thu Do is standing unit and Propaganda Department of Hanoi Labor Confederation is co-organizing unit. Sport Training and Competition center is coordinating organizers.
According to the Charter, trade union under district, town, sector and corporation is entitled to send a men football team to join the municipal final tournament. Besides, the organizing board also invited teams under central offices and units in Hanoi to the tournament. The participant shall be the person who currently works at companies, offices, units in district, town, sector and corporation in Hanoi. Moreover, players shall be named in payroll and contributed the in-charge office’s social insurance, health insurance with over-6-month duration till the commencement date of the tournament.
As scheduled, the organizing board will receive participating registration and perform preparation for the tournament from February 22 to March 26. On April 5, a press conference and tournament draw will be held. It is expected that the tournament will take place from April 10 to April 23 at the Football Stadium of Thuyloi University. The champions will be awarded 20,000,000 VND, 15,000,000 VND, 10,000,000 VND and 5,000,000 VND will be award for the champions, first runner-up, second runner-up and third runner-up respectively. Besides, there will be additional prizes from the organizing board.
