The program aims to arouse the spirit of national unity and promote the good traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups of Vietnam, overcome the pandemic together, spread human values, and the spirit of mutual affection, love for the homeland, country and people of Vietnam; promote the cultural identity of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam in the implementation of the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life”, protect and promote the values of the community’s cultural heritage, contribute to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity; contribute to the propaganda and introduction of the Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village of Vietnam, the “common home” of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. In particular, through the activities of the “Great Unity of Nations – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” Week to gather and unite people from all walks of life, arouse patriotism, sense of pride, practical national pride to celebrate Traditional Day – Founding Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18); celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

Accordingly, the activities of the “Great Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” Week will take place from November 18 to November 23, 2021, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi with various activities: Opening art program; Exhibition of planning maps, introducing functional areas calling for investment promotion; People of all ethnic groups will recreate the features of community activities, folk songs and dances, cuisine, costumes, customs and habits in the space of their own villages;
Introduction of cultural heritages and traditional festivals such as Re-enactment of Spring Festival (No Pe Chau) and performance of traditional Hmong ethnic musical instruments in Nghe An province, Re-enactment of some special festivals, customs and habits of people of all ethnic groups; Organize for visitors and delegates to participate in a number of experience activities (try on wearing national costumes, participate in making ethnic dishes, traditional crafts…); Organizing folk dance activities by region, ethnicity, etc.
In addition, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also organized activities to celebrate the Traditional Day – the Founding Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; visit and give gifts to people of all ethnic groups, etc.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires the content of activities to be appropriate towards connecting all ethnic communities, affirming the strength of the great national unity bloc and honoring and preserving cultural heritage values. Activities with rich, meaningful, practical themes and contents, showing a joyful, exciting and solemn atmosphere arousing national pride, focusing on propaganda and promotion to collect attracted a large number of people and tourists during the activities of the “Great Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” Week; ensure safety in prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, political security, social order and safety, in accordance with the new context; strictly comply with regulations on pandemic prevention and control in line with the prevention and control strategy of “safely adapting, flexibly, effectively controlling the Covid-19 pandemic”. Depending on the actual situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will adjust and decide the appropriate time and form to implement pandemic prevention and control measures under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister. in Resolution 128/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2021.
