Propagating accurately and timely developments and measures to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic
In the context of the complicated movements of the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential for its spread throughout the city, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requested the party organizations, agencies, organizations and people of the Capital to implement strictly the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, the City Party Committee and the People’s Committee of the city on the prevention and control of COVID-19; to be aware of the situation, dangerous nature and harms of COVID-19 pandemic, thereby raising awareness and responsibility of each citizen to proactively prevent, control and control the pandemic and protect personal health and the community.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requested that, through propaganda, it is necessary to promote the synergy of both the political system and the whole society in implementing pandemic prevention measures; determined to control not to spread the pandemic, ensure economic development, maintain political security, social order and safety; stabilize people’s lives, contribute to the successful organization of the Party Congress at all levels, the 17th Party Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, towards the 13th National Party Congress of the Party.
Propaganda should be widespread, timely, accurate, practical and suitable to each subject and each time, close to developments of the pandemic; effectively prevent the wrong views, hostility, fake news which negatively affect the prevention and control of the pandemic. The propaganda needs to clarify the situation, the dangerous nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, focus on accurate and timely propagation and measures to prevent and control the pandemic.
People need to raise their awareness about proactive prevention of COVID-19
It is required to promote the propagation and education so that people proactively and actively implement measures to prevent and control the pandemic, protect personal and community health. The functional forces should encourage in order that people who have passed through the pandemic area or are at high risk of infection feel assured, trust and voluntarily declare health, carry out scientific isolation measures and avoid discrimination.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requested the Party’s Working Committee of the City People’s Committee to focus on directing the overall propaganda of all solutions and plans of the city to prevent and control COVID-19. On that basis, all levels and branches of the city have consistently and effectively implemented pandemic prevention and control, creating peace of mind and trust among officials, party members and people at all classes. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee also clarified the responsibility of propagandizing and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic of the Party Committees, the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi, departments, branches, districts, townships and Party Committees under the City Party Committee.
With newspapers, radios and newsletters of the city, it is necessary to follow closely the direction and orientation of the Hanoi Party Committee to well organize propaganda activities. In particular, priority should be given to the amount and duration of posting recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) to the people to prevent and limit the spread of the pandemic and to encourage people to actively participate in pandemic prevention and control.
