It was almost noon, and Ms Hoa in Tuyen Quang province reached her friend’s house. Even already sitting on chair in her friend’s house, her heart still beat quickly. Taking a cup of water to calm down, she told her friend about the thing she had just encountered.
– Too dangerous. I almost was hit by a motorbike right on street of your house.
– What? How could you be hit by motorbike when you walked on sidewalk? – her friend asked in away to explain that it could not happen.
Motorbikes often occupy sidewalks
After listening to her friend, Ms Hoa “evidenced” a series of what happened, “Do you think that your street has sidewalk? It has been occupied by stalls and shops for parking motorbikes, I must go on roadway. I have not visited Hanoi for such a long time, and I must find your house number when walking, and a sound “bang” happened right after my back, and when I saw back, I saw a motorbike collapse on the street and hit my foot as it must avoid a bike traveling on wrong side. It was so lucky for me that the motorbike driver rode his motorbike slowly, otherwise I must have been in hospital now.”
The pedestrians must go on roadway, it is very dangerous
Sharing with her friend, Ms Hoa could not do nothing but consoled and advised her friend to be more careful next time. She also thought that the authorities should inspect and remind vehicle owners, settle violations of the business households which intentionally occupy the sidewalks to return them to the pedestrians, ensuring the traffic order and make the city look more beautiful
