In the morning of May 30, at the Son Tay Sports Hall, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Ethnic Minorities Committee in collaboration with the Town People’s Committee and the Center for Culture, Information and Sports organized the ethnic minority sports competition for mountainous communes and ethnic minority boarding schools in Hanoi in 2017.

The organizing committee gave the memorious flags to units

           The competition attracted more than 200 athletes from 15 mountainous communes and ethnic minority boarding schools in Hanoi. The athletes compete in four subjects: marathon, crossbow shooting, stick pushing and volleyball. The competition aims at preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, launching physical training and sports movements among the mass in general and ethnic minorities in particular while creating a healthy playground for mountainous and remote area people, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and attachment in the community of ethnic groups in Vietnam.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first, second and third prizes to collectives and individuals with high achievements.
