Especially, Olympic sports have obtained more than 90% of the total gold medal tally,  over 87% compared to the previous tourament. This seems to be an encouraging signal, reflecting the sound and appropriate orientations being adopted by the sports sector in investment and development of the high-achievement sports, in the wake of ASIAD 18 and Olympic 2020. And it is also the optimistic signal for Viet Nam sports to come to the playgrounds in 2018.

In 2018, Viet Nam Football Federation is scheduled to allocate about 70 billions for training and competition in favour of 6 selected teams  with the hopes that will creat a spring board in achievement and affirm the progress of Viet Nam football sports on the international arena.

With the radical changes made in Viet Nam sports sector in 2017, it is hopeful that in 2018 Viet Nam sports sector will accomplish new milestones at ASIAD 18.
