As part of a series of commemorative activities, the Union’s Executive Committee of Hai Ba Trung District, in collaboration with Administration Board of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, organized the ceremony of admitting 90 typical youths from Tran Nhan Tong High School and Thang Long High School, etc. as new union members.

The admission ceremony was solemnly and meaningfully held at Hoa Lo Prison Relic, where loyal people dedicated their whole lives to the cause of national liberation, symbolizing the infinite loyalty with the Vietnamese revolutionary ideals. As such, in the preparatory team, the right hand of the Communist Party of Vietnam there have been 90 more members who are enthusiastic, creative and always striving to excellently fulfill their mission of studying and protecting the Fatherland.
After the admission ceremony, the team spent time visiting Hoa Lo Prison Relic, attending the display “Lighting up the Fire of Faith” and Exhibition “Proud 90-year history of Hanoi City Party Committee”.
Here, the youth union members have heard about the 90-year journey with a belief in the Party recalled through the stories of the examples of young Union members and Party members who are engaged in, even sacrificed in Hoa Lo Prison and some other colonial and imperial prisons. At the cell for those sentenced to death in Hoa Lo Prison, Mr. Nguyen Duc Canh in the last years of his life still tried to write the book “Cong Nhan Van Dong”, Mr. Luu Chi Hieu accepted to sacrifice his life instead of renouncing the Party; or 41 exemplary women in Con Dao prison, who were so brave and loyal even when they were not members of the Union or the Party.

Admiring the hardships experienced by and sacrifices of our predecessors, the new union members became more aware and promised to strive to promote the glorious tradition of the Union and the Party.
With enthusiasm, energy, braveness, and determination to overcome any difficulties and obstacles, 90 new members admitted to Union at Hoa Lo Prison Relic are going to promote achievements of the Youth of Hanoi Capital in particular and the country in general, contribute to the development of the country, and try tirelessly to become exemplary members in the future.
