Responding to the emulation movements of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Hanoi Youth Union, the youth of Thanh Xuan district organized many great activities such as: “I love Hanoi”, “I love my motherland” to create motivation for the Thanh Xuan young people to practice and contribute to the community.
Donating playgrounds for children
These movements are concretized by the youth of Thanh Xuan by specific activities, such as Enthusiastic participation in military service; mobile propaganda to celebrate the election and prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic; organize a peak session to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Youth Union (LHU); traditional propaganda and education of the capital’s youth and the Vietnam Youth Union; providing playgrounds for children, giving gifts to former Youth Volunteers in the district; especially activities to participate in the prevention, control and support of members, young people and people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic…
Supporting People at COVID-19 vaccination sites
Thanh Xuan district young people have established a monitoring group for places where there are likely to be large crowds, such as testing sites, vaccination sites, and flea markets; set up a team to support transportation, buy essentials for quarantined families, join community COVID-19 groups, take charge of COVID-19 prevention and control, support 6 points of COVID-19 vaccination, etc.
Giving gifts to former Youth Volunteers
Thanh Xuan District Youth Union also supported 300 barrels of Lavie water, 15,000 medical masks, 1,600 anti-droplet glasses, instant noodles, food for frontline forces; awarded 200 meals per day under the program “Million meals of gratitude”; presented 170 gifts of VND 300 thousand each, 1 ton of rice, 1.8 tons of clean vegetables, 100 boxes of instant noodles, 2,000 eggs and 16 cartons of milk to people, pupils and students in difficult circumstances in the district, according to the programs: “Supporting students to overcome COVID-19” and “Lovely Hanoi – Gifts given to children”. In addition, the Thanh Xuan youth participated in the construction, repair and donation of a number of play points for children in the district…
These volunteering activities for the community of Thanh Xuan youth in 2021 have partly encouraged the spirit of the people in the district, making a significant contribution to the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic in Thanh Xuan district.
