According to the notice of the Hanoi Club, after 1-month suspension to prevent against the COVID-19 pandemic, football players gathered on April 26 and had their first training day on April 27. This was the preparation for the incoming Vietnam football leagues.
The Capital’s football team privately practiced ensuring the highest safety.
Focusing on practice again, according to the command of the local government, all training days of the Capital’s football team during this time must, however, be private only to ensure the highest safety. Expectedly, professional competitions will return on May 15 by opening matches of the National Cup. This is considered as the starting match for clubs of both two championships, before officially entering the 3rd round V-League competition and the 2020 First prize happening a week later as scheduled.
Therefore, the VPF representative said that the preceding schedule could be changed, up to the pandemic control on the whole country, and it must be permitted by the authorities. The organizers will have to consider continuing to move the National Cup to another day, on May 20 or later. VPF will coordinate with localities to consider whether to have the audience attend or not. No matter when it takes, at this point, VPF also warned that audiences should not be present.
According to Directive 19/CT-TTg on continuing to implement measures to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic in the new situation, the whole society will continue to pause the activities of festivals, religious ceremonies, sports tournaments, and crowd gatherings in public places, stadiums, and big unnecessary events. The Directive allows sports training centers to resume but must take measures to ensure safety against the epidemics.
Right after the Government decided to loosen the social distancing, many clubs quickly set a meeting date and actively practiced for the return of domestic football tournaments. Along with that, “sport training centers are allowed to operate again”, gyms, parks, apartment’s training areas and many others have been able to supply services according to decisions of the Chairmen of People’s Committees of provinces or cities… However, they still have to obey safety solutions which ensure the safety in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.
