The People’s Committee of Hanoi has just issued Decision No. 2617/QD-UBND on the classification of historical-cultural monuments and scenic spots in the city.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi decided to classify 16 monuments at the city level, located in the districts of Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong, and Thanh Oai. Specifically:
Cau Giay District has 01 monument: the Historical-Artistic Monument of Bai An Communal House – Quan Cay, Ao Ca, Nghia Do Ward.

Nam Tu Liem District has 04 monuments, including: the Historical-Cultural Monument of An Thai Communal House, Dai Mo Ward; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Sa Doi Temple, Phu Do Ward; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Cay De Shrine and the Historical-Cultural Monument of Mau Gieng Moc Temple, Me Tri Ward.
Hoai Duc District has 02 monuments: the Historical-Artistic Monument of Yen Thai Pagoda (Phuc Lam Tu), Tien Yen Commune; the Historical-Artistic Monument of Ben Pagoda (Kim Phong Tu), Tien Yen Commune.
Dan Phuong District has 07 monuments: the Historical-Artistic Monument of Trung Dich Communal House, Ha Mo Commune; the Historical-Artistic Monument of Chinh Khi Temple, Ha Mo Commune; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Meo Inn, Song Phuong Commune; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Phan Long Communal House, Tan Hoi Commune; the Historical-Artistic Monument of Thuy Hoi, Tan Hoi Commune; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Hanh Dan Communal House, Tan Lap Commune; the Historical-Cultural Monument of Yen Chau Communal House, Trung Chau Commune.

Thanh Oai District has 02 monuments: the Historical-Cultural Monument of Hang Tong Temple, Kim Thu Commune; and the Historical-Cultural Monument of Tu Chau Shrine, Lien Chau Commune.
The protection zones of the monuments are determined according to the minutes and zoning maps of the protection areas included in the scientific dossier for monument classification.
After the monuments are classified, the People’s Committees of Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong, and Thanh Oai districts are responsible for publicly announcing the delineated protection areas, organizing the preparation of boundary marking dossiers, and implementing the on-site boundary marking according to their authority and current legal regulations. The People’s Committees of the wards and communes of Nghia Do (Cau Giay), Tien Yen (Hoai Duc), Ha Mo, Song Phuong, Tan Hoi, Tan Lap, Trung Chau (Dan Phuong), Dai Mo, Phu Do, My Dinh 1, Me Tri (Nam Tu Liem), Kim Thu, and Lien Chau (Thanh Oai) shall issue decisions establishing Monument Management Boards; organize the management of the site and space of the monuments, all artifacts belonging to the monuments, activities for protecting and promoting the value of the monuments, and the use of monument revenues in accordance with Decision No. 48/2016/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2016, and Decision No. 31/2021/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2021, of the People’s Committee of Hanoi on promulgating regulations and amending and supplementing certain articles of the regulations on management, protection, and promotion of the value of historical-cultural monuments and scenic spots in Hanoi.
All activities related to construction or exploitation within the classified monuments and their protection zones are strictly prohibited. In special cases where land use or construction within a monument is necessary, permission must be obtained from the People’s Committee of Hanoi.
The Department of Culture and Sports, the People’s Committees of Cau Giay, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong, Nam Tu Liem, Thanh Oai districts, and the People’s Committees of the wards and communes of Nghia Do (Cau Giay), Tien Yen (Hoai Duc), Ha Mo, Song Phuong, Tan Hoi, Tan Lap, Trung Chau (Dan Phuong), Dai Mo, Phu Do, My Dinh 1, Me Tri (Nam Tu Liem), Kim Thu, and Lien Chau (Thanh Oai), where the classified monuments are located, shall, within their respective functions and powers, carry out state management of the monuments according to their authority and the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
