The tournament’s press conference will be held on the afternoon of October 31 at the headquarters of the new Ha Noi Moi Newspaper.
As a result, the event will be held from November 3 to 6, 2022 at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium (Dong Da District, Hanoi City), attracting around 300 professional and amateur athletes from 68 participation units, an increase of 6 units over the previous season. In comparison to the previous event, this year’s tournament has one more over 45-year-old woman pair. Consequently , this year’s tournament has 12 competitions.
The competition aims at providing a venue for professional and amateur tennis players while also promoting the practice of table tennis in the capital as well as provinces and cities around the country.
Launched in 2012, the tournament has evolved into an annual event organized by Ha Noi Moi Newspaper and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, attracting a huge number of professional and amateur tennis players.

To ensure tournament progress, the Organizing Committee limits each athlete to registering for a maximum of two competitions. The units and individuals competing in the Tournament are not required to pay any competition fees. The Pisces DF235 table and standard matting will be used in training and competition at the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation’s professional table tennis tournaments during the Ninth Ha Noi Moi Newspaper Cup in 2022.
The Organizing Committee will award trophies, flags, bonuses, and medals to the winning teams, pairs, and individuals in the tournament contents. The entire amount of the reward is 124 million VND.
