The fifth – 2018 Ha Noi City Students Badminton Tournament for Tuoi Tre Thu Do Journal Cup will take place at 8:30 AM next Sept. 28 at Long Bien Ward’s Culture & Sports Center (Hanoi) in the coordination of Ha Noi City’s Youth Union and Department of Culture and Sports.
In the occasion of the 64th aniversary of the Capital liberation (Oct. 10, 1954 – Oct. 10, 2018), in the spirit of celebrating the seventh Ha Noi City Student Association Meeting, term 2018 – 2022, aiming to promote sportsmanship and strengthen the unity between institutions and their students, members of Hanoi City’s Youth Union and Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports have co-organized the fifth – 2018 Hanoi City Students Badminton Tournament for Tuoi Tre Thu Do Journal Cup. This tournament has attracted various student athletes from universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, vocational schools and high schools within the capital. As of September 24, there have been over 700 male and female candidates of different ages. The tournament consists of 2 levels: Advanced and Basic.
At the Basic level, there are competitions between men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles (for Group 1: 16 – 18 years old – born in 2001-2003); there are 5 types of competitions of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles (for Group 2: 19 – 25 years old – born in 1994-2000).
At the Advanced level: 5 types of competitions of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles (born in 1994-2003) will take place.
This year, the Ha Noi City Students Badminton Tournament for Tuoi Tre Thu Do Journal Cup is raised to a city level. The Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports has jointly worked with the Ha Noi City’s Youth Union to create a professional tournament, promoting sportsmanship and improving Hanoi students’ health.
