To celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the Liberation Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2018); the 132nd anniversary of the International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2015); the 64th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2018) and President Ho Chi Minh’s 128th birthday anniversary (May 19, 1980 – May 19, 2018), the People’s Committee of Long Bien district has promulgated the Plan No. 174 / KH-UBND to promote activities of propaganda, arts and culture, sports and physical training in the district on occasion of official holidays and anniversaries.
Accordingly, the district will continue to renovate the decoration, propaganda in the central areas, roads, large intersections in the district to create a landscape highlight combined with decoration, honor, promotion of characteristic value of Hanoi – a capital thousands years of civilization, a Hero Capital, a City for Peace; and to build green – clean – beautiful Long Bien district.
The commemorative activities are organized from residential groups and wards in various forms, with deep contents, with a great spreading impact creating an atmosphere of excitement, expressing the national cultural identity, meaningful and imbued with “Hanoi Culture”, linking the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life”, and building “Elegant and civilized Long Bien – Hanoi People”, associated with “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”; The propaganda activities are implemented synchronously, effectively, solemnly, practically and efficiently and based on the spirit of promoting socialized activities.
At the head offices of central areas, routes of Van Hanh Street, Truong Lam Street, Doan Khue Street, Nguyen Cao Luyen Street, Nguyen Van Cu Street, Ngo Gia Tu Street and Co Linh Street, approach to Vinh Tuy bridge, overpass and under-bridge to Dong Tru bridge are decorated with flags, slogans, red flags group, etc. At the intersection of overpass and under-bridge over Ngo Gia Tu Street is decorated with big slogans.
In addition, the district will organize activities of culture and art, physical training and sports: the 5th Singing Festival of Long Bien district; Marathon Championships; ing the “Lac Hong Festival”; Exchange and perform arts classes at schools in the district in 2018; The symposium about victories in Liberation of the South and National Reunification and Uncle Ho at Primary Schools and Secondary Schools and participate in activities organized by the City.
Together with the above activities, the district will intensify the activities of the district multisectoral inspection team focusing on inspecting shops selling cultural products, pictures, video tapes, music tapes, karaoke services, guest houses, hotels; strictly punish cases breaching provisions of law and regulations of the State.
