This activity was within the framework of an official visit in Viet Nam from 5 – 6/6/2019 by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte at the invitation of the Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
During the visit at Van Mieu temple, he was briefed on the history of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam and the Vietnamese people’s traditions of venerated teacher, upheld morality and respected talents. He said: “the Vietnamese people upkeepping the long-standing traditions of venerated teacher, upheld morality that is a very valuable thing. Once as a university professor, I am so happy to hear about that”.
He went on with deep expression that: “this visit is of great significance to me that I should not skip. As this treasure will make considerable contributions to preservation and enhancement of the national cultural identities of a beautiful country of Viet Nam. This is the biggest centre for training and educating talented people in the monarch time, as well as the place to upkeep precious study traditions for the Vietnamese young generation to follow”.
