Oshougatsu Festival is an annual, non-profit program to recreate the atmosphere of Japanese traditional Oshougatsu in Vietnam, as well as develop cultural exchanges between Vietnam – Japan.
Japanese Cultural Festival 2019 Oshougatsu this year decorated by Kadomatsu (sacred symbol that any Japanese is used to decorate the door on the occasion of the festival) the biggest in Vietnam. Along with that is the appearance of the flower road behind “handmade” decorated with 12,000 colorful flower strings, Japanese-style bamboo fences, a unique 3D photography area with flower street and tea room. The festival will have the appearance of a flower road with “handmade” decorated with 12,000 colorful flowers.
Besides, dancing Yosakoi, writing Calligraphy, hexagrams, writing new year wishes, Omamori Love charms, free Yukata trial … are indispensable activities in the festival.
In addition, there are free activities of traditional handmade making such as making Japanese masks, making Teruteru rain bridge dolls, making the bridge of god Wakazari, Japanese kites, Japanese dolls … Experiencing the traditional Japanese games such as fishing, pasta, pounding Mochi, Kendama, Koma, … and receiving gifts from organizers.
Come to the festival, you can not ignore the special and diverse booths such as cuisine, anime, manga, and also the participation of Japanese cultural clubs and lots of other interesting things welcome.
Oshougatsu Festival is an annual program to recreate the Japanese traditional Tet atmosphere right in Hanoi Capital, contributing to strengthening the close relationship between Vietnam and Japan. At the same time, introduce students and guests with cultural characteristics in Japan’s Oshougatsu festival – traditional customs, practices, dishes and games. This is also a useful, healthy and free playground for students after stressful learning hours, a mark of ending the year in fun and cozy before entering the Lunar New Year holiday.
Japanese cultural festival Oshougatsu 2019 will take place only one day starting from 08:00 to 18:00 on January 13, 2019 at Hanoi University of Science & Technology (No. 1 Giai Phong, Hanoi).
