To promote and introduce the unique cultural features of Thai Binh province to the people of Hanoi Capital as well as domestic and international visitors on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020, the Program will bring to the public and visitors the opportunity to learn and explore the cultural values of Thai Binh province, through attractive activities, such as Thai Binh ancient Cheo singing performance, Mua Ong Dung Ba Da, and performance of four farming sectors, water puppet show, folk cuisine processing practices of Banh Cay, Banh Day La Re, etc.

Thai Binh province is a place where convergence and spread of cultural and civilized nuances of the Northern Delta region. In Thai Binh province, there are thousands of unique historical and cultural relics including 2 special national monuments. The beauty in Thai Binh culture is also deeply converged through the rich cultural and artistic forms of the unique folk and folk dances, typically Cheo singing and water puppetry. Also, Thai Binh culture is known for hundreds of traditional festivals along with dozens of unique games, folk performances, dozens of traditional craft villages, etc.

Coming to the program, visitors not only have the opportunity to learn and explore the cultural values of Thai Binh province but also have the opportunity to learn the traditional values of the nation during the Lunar New Year through activities such as calligraphy, Dong Ho paintings printing, Mua Tu Linh (Dance of four holy animals) and some folk games.

In particular, at 06:00 pm, on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year (January 28, 2020), the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology organizes fireworks to celebrate the Lunar New Year by artisans from Hai Duong province with the desire to serve the former New, dispel evil, pray for peace in the new year for everyone.

Canh Ty Lunar New Year Festival “Thai Binh Cultural nuances” at Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will introduce to the public and visitors unique cultural features in the diversity of the 54 ethnic groups, contributing to improving knowledge, affection and awareness of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values through generations.
