In the recent announcement of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second round of V-League 2020 onward continues to take place without spectators. However, the Organization Boards of fields are required to comply properly during the pandemic.

 The Vietnam National Football Championship continues to play without spectators.

Accordingly, the Organization Board removes the ritual of taking players with their hands by children, giving flowers to two teams and the referees, no shaking hands between teams and with the referees.
Without giving flowers to 2 teams or referees, any two teams will move following the ritual but not shake mutual hands and the referees.
The Organization Board of matches must ensure absolute safety for the club of the guest teams, supervisors and referees during their stay, duty and competition in the locality, capture information and forecast the situation to take appropriate measures to promptly and effectively prevent the risks of insecurity and non-safety for matches, take measures to control the fans with extremist acts and violations of the regulations outside or inside the stadium (if any);

Outside, it is required to increase security forces in the gate and entrance to the stadium, set up security barriers to protect from the outside, prevent the audiences from gathering at the entrance gates to create pressure and cause the risks of non-safety, and take measures to prevent the audiences from gathering and climbing on the rooftops in the surrounding area to watch the matches or climbing over walls and fences to enter the fields contrary to regulations, causing insecurity and non-safety.
In addition to the above details, the separate medical teams in the fields continue to measure the body temperature of those with duties such as players, reporters, delegates, etc.
Facing the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has recently issued a document specifying that the ongoing national football tournaments including the system of national professional tournaments, the Vietnamese National U19 Football Championship 2020 continues to take place but must ensure the effective prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic and protection of the health and safety of members participating in the tournaments and of the community.
VFF requires that the Organization Board of the Championship and local Organization Boards must regularly report and consult the VFF and the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of the COVID-19 pandemic organized by the localities, and strictly implement measures to restrict the audiences and the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures according to the Ministry of Health’s recommendations. Organization Boards of the host localities will strengthen the cleanup, organize spraying of disinfectants, allocate masks for workers and equip hand-wash disinfectants in public areas.
For the tournaments scheduled to start in March 2020, including the Vietnamese National U15 Football Championship 2020, U19 Women’s National Championship, the HDBank Futsal Championship will be postponed to the appropriate time. VFF will have specific discussions on postponed tournaments and update the new schedule to send to clubs/teams.
