Accordingly, the trade unions strengthened the communication on gender equality in the field of politics towards the Party Congress at all levels for the term 2020-2025 and election of the National Assembly deputies of the XV term, the People’s Council at all levels for the term 2021-2026, with rich content to raise awareness, responsibility, consensus and support of both the political system and the people on the benefits and the need for women to participate in leadership and management positions and importance of female cadre activities and planning, thereby ensuring women’s equality, aiming to promote the gender equality in the field of politics.
It aims at integrating information and communication activities on gender equality in the field of politics through conferences, seminars, training sessions, exchanges, and events at agencies, units and enterprises, promoting communication on gender equality and for the advancement of women in diverse and diversified forms, which are suitable for specific target groups and level and culture of each locality, strengthening direct communication at the grassroots level, applying information technology to propaganda activities to create a good effect for communication activities.
Training courses are organized on gender equality and the advancement of women, skills for mainstreaming gender equality issues, gender-based skills to prevent and respond to violence, gender mainstreaming skills in participating in the building of collective labor agreements, skills to supervise the implementation of policies and regimes for female workers, union officials, female cadres, etc. In particular, attention should be paid to training in knowledge, management and leadership skills and activities of the elected body for potential female cadres to increase the participation of women in the field of politics and government at all levels.
The leadership and direction of the Party committees and authorities, effective coordination between trade unions and relevant agencies on issues related to female workers, officials and workers dynamic is strengthened; the attention is paid to creating all conditions to arouse the potential, intelligence and creativity of the contingent of female workers, officials and employees to promote their role and position in the work. The active participation of all levels, departments, sectors, unions, organizations, communities, families and children is focused to raise awareness, engage commitment to responsibility and change positive behaviors in the gender equality and the advancement of women.
The Action Month for gender equality and gender-based violence prevention has been initiated since November 15-15, 2020, with the goal of effectiveness, creativity and savings, attracting the direct participation of workers, officials, workers and spreading throughout the City. The inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and regimes for female workers are strengthened in the effective coordination; the issues related to the lawful and legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees are solved; Measures and policies related to female cadres work are taken.
