The plan is to continue the pilot implementation (in the second year) of “family code of conduct” (hereinafter referred to as Code). The pilot implementation of the Code has focused on propagandizing and encouraging households and family members to understand and implement family conducts.
Accordingly, pilot activities are organized in 12 provinces/cities selected by MOCST, including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Thua Thien-Hue, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City (hereinafter referred to as 12 pilot provinces/cities selected by MOCST).
At the central level, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will allocate funding and assign the Family Department to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the concerned units to continue carrying out the pilot activities of the Code 2020; organize the inspection and supervision of the situation of the pilot implementation of the Code.
At the local level, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Department of Culture and Sports continue to organize propaganda for implementation of the Code in the pilot communes/wards, focusing on propaganda on the occasion of International Day of Happiness, Vietnamese Family Day, National Action Month on domestic violence prevention and control. It is possible to conduct propaganda activities by broadcasting, visual propaganda and advocacy, or community activities to suit local reality and ensure high effectiveness. This year’s message is “Take action for a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family!; Exemplary grandparents and parent and good children!; Family, place of love and sharing!; Respect, listen and share to keep the family happy!; Faithful and affectionate husband and wife! Concord and sharing siblings!”
In addition to organizing propaganda for the implementation of the Code, the Departments are also tasked to organize surveys to assess the situation of the implementation of the Code based on the households who have registered to implement the Code (in 2019) and assess the implementation status of such households according to the prescribed forms.
Also, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to propagate on the mass media at the central level with the main contents such as family code of conduct; knowledge and skills to build a happy family; good traditional moral values in family; faithful, filial, loving and sharing examples among family members; policies and laws on the rights, obligations and responsibilities of family and family members; communication messages; local situation of implementation of the Code; integration in the implementation of the Scheme for the propagation of ethical education and family lifestyle until 2020…
