The plan to carry out the propaganda on the family’s role in the prevention and control of child abuse according to the Decision on Issuing Work Plan 2020 by Family Department has been approved by the Minister.
Propagating, disseminating, and enriching knowledge and skills on child abuse prevention and control for family members will help minimize and limit child abuse.
Develop model documents for local use in carrying out the task of children protection in the sector of culture, family, sports, and tourism.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has assigned Family Department the task of advising the Ministry in issuing implementation documents, setting up an Editorial Team and an Appraisal Council, and inviting experts to develop the content of documents.
The task also includes assuming the prime responsibility for, and cooperating with concerned agencies and units in, organizing the development of contents of documents and leaflets, carrying out document evaluation and acceptance, and printing and releasing leaflets.
Department of Culture has been assigned the task of cooperating with Family Department in developing contents of documents and supporting the provision of award-winning drawings from Poster Drawing Competition for Promotion of the Fight against Child Abuse 2019 for use in creating documents and leaflets.
The Ministry’s Office shall guide Family Department to prepare estimates and settlement of the activities, and shall cooperate with Family Department and relevant agencies and units in implementing the activities in the Plan. Relevant agencies and units shall cooperate in developing documents and printing and distributing leaflets.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism also requires that documents and leaflets showing contents about the role of the family and the skills to prevent and combat child abuse in the family be clear, brief, easy to understand and easy to remember. Documents should have appropriate illustrations; flyers (layout, colors, drawings, materials …) should be beautiful, impressive, and easy to use. The implementation of the Plan must be economic and efficiency, and helps promote the cooperation among relevant agencies and units.
The Plan should be carried out in the fourth quarter of 2020.
