On April 29, the Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe announced that the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 would not be able to be organized without controlling the acute respiratory infection pandemic COVID-19. Mr. Abe emphasized that the Olympic and Paralympic must completely happen, showing that the world would have won the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, the chairman of Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 Committee Mr. Yoshiro Mori also said that this event would be canceled if the COVID-19 pandemic persisted in 2021. Meanwhile, the head of the Medical Association Japan (JMA), Mr. Yoshitake Yokokura, also said that the action of organizing the Olympic would confront difficulties when the world had not developed an effective vaccine for COVID-19.
