Hanoi continues stopping entertaining activities and bans crowds of more than 20 people

This is the conclusion mentioned at the meeting of the Hanoi City Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention in the afternoon of April 24. At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Mr. Ngo Van Quy, the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the PSC stated that the disease situation in Hanoi was controlled; however, at present, Hanoi is still at “high risk”, particularly, Me Linh and Thuong Tin districts were identified at “high-risk”. In the area, asymptomatic cases or cases which are detected after over 14 days exist, so the disease is still capable of spreading.

The Vice President emphasized that departments, branches and districts in the area must implement the solutions according to the Prime Minister’s direction in the Notice  No.164. In particular, it is required to handle outbreaks, enhance detection, testing, isolation and quenching, propagate people to wash hands, disinfect, wear masks, and avoid crowded public places, not go out when not needed. People who have signs of fever, cough and shortness of breath should not go to workplaces, schools, public places, and contact medical facilities for instructions on medical examination and treatment.

It is required to stop organizing cultural events in public places and religious events. It is prohibited to gather more than 20 people at workplaces, schools, hospitals. It is required to wear masks and keep the minimum distance of 2m, facilitate the circulation of goods and ensure the prevention of the epidemic.

Regarding several industries such as tourism, entertainment, cinemas, bars, karaoke, Internet, massage, the Vice Chairman suggested continuing stopping their operation. Agencies and organizations are encouraged to work from home.

For Me Linh and Thuong Tin districts at high risk, it is necessary to strictly follow the Prime Minister’s Directive no.16 and 05 of the City People’s Committee and the Document no.2601 of the Government Office…
