At the awarding ceremony, Vice Chairman of Sports Administration Le Thi Hoang Yen said the contest has lasted for nearly 2 years. Individuals, organizations registered to participate in 4 main contents, including: Logo, Mascot; Games’ Song and Slogan. Up till now, the contest has basically completed. Only the Song in still in the process of selection and would soon be announced.

Sharing his opinions at the awarding ceremony, the Logo winner Hoang Xuan Hieu said: the idea for making the logo “Flying bird’s wings-Vshaped palm” was originated from the image of Viet Nam’ atheletes placing their palms on the left chest, with their eyes heading toward the national flag and singing the national anthem at sport events. Through the logo “Flying bird’s wings-Vshaped palm”, the composer wants to convey the message of Viet Nam-a peace loving country, with great wills and aspiration for victory. Likewise, when sharing ideas of an wild animal – Sao La, composer Ngo Xuan Khoi sai in motion: “I am so glad and honoured when participating in the contest at the age of 60. I personally am so touched when hearing my work won the first prize and was selected to use at the biggest games in the region in 2021″. The image of Sao La animal standing in a proud, strong, cheerful, smart and brisky manner has been conceived for a long time. The Sao La animal that has been chosen as Mascot for SEA Games 31 and ASIAN Para Games 11 will not only propagate the protection of wild and rare animals but also help friends in the region and the world understand more about the special values the nature is offering Viet Nam”.
