In addition to money, the Korean entities donated medical supplies (such as masks) and food to people in need during the pandemic. Supplies and foodstuff donated included 50,000 masks, 500 cartons of noodles, and 500 bags of rice.
With this gesture, coach Park Hang Seo wanted to show support to Vietnamese football fans in such a difficult time. Mr. Park hoped that Vietnam would soon control the pandemic and that everyone could soon enjoy football again.
In addition, coach Park Hang-seo said he would continue to call for donations from other entities to the fund to fight COVID-19 in the coming time.
Prior to the visit, coach Park Hang-seo donated $ 5,000 to the fund to fight COVID-19 in a campaign launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Korean coach had also actively involved himself in the “Wash Your Hands Properly” challenge, urging fans to wash their hands properly in a joint effort to control the pandemic.
