Action Month for Children 2020 is implemented by the People’s Committee of Ha Dong District from June 1 to June 30, 2020, with the theme “Joining hands to protect children, prevent and combat child abuse”, to further raise awareness and responsibility of families and communities in the realization of children’s rights.
The District People’s Committee has directed wards to develop plans and organize activities in response to Action Month for Children in accordance with the local realities, ensuring safety and efficiency. Accordingly, the district and wards will promote the communication and education of the law on implementing children’s rights, protecting children, focusing on the provisions of the Law on Children; communication, counseling, and provision of knowledge of life skills for children, skills on prevention and control of child injury and abuse, especially in preventing and combating cyber abuse when children learn online; Communication on the topics and messages of the Action Month for Children 2020 through the media, report development, video clips, posters, banners, and leaflets. Strengthen communication on the phone number of the Hanoi Social Work Service Provider Center – 024.3525.662 and the National Call Center for Child Protection – 111 for all children, individuals, agencies, and groups contact function when needed, etc.

In “Action Month for Children 2020”, Ha Dong district focuses on organizing activities to support medical examination and treatment; support for surgery, orthopedic and functional rehabilitation for children with disabilities, children with serious diseases, children with congenital heart disease according to regulations; visiting, giving gifts, and scholarships, etc. to children with achievements in learning and training, children with special circumstances, children living in poor families, children of ethnic minorities, etc., strictly implementing measures to prevent and control the epidemic Covid-19 for children and caregivers under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and direction of the City; organizing cultural activities, sports, sports, entertainment, etc. with useful content, rich form, suitable with the needs of children; along with that, enhancing socialization, mobilizing resources from domestic and international organizations and individuals to support children in general, children in special circumstances, at risk of falling and in special circumstances in particular; investing in the construction of welfare facilities, facilities or to upgrade schools, classrooms, boarding houses, swimming pools, entertainment equipment, playgrounds for children in the community, etc., creating the best conditions for children to live, study and play in a safe and healthy manner.
