Continuing activities serving political missions taking place in 2020, the Department will continue to carry out visual decoration and propaganda on the streets in the year when Vietnam takes the role of Chairman of the 8th ASEAN 2020, propaganda to welcome the Party Congress at all levels… thereby contributing to creating a jubilant and exciting atmosphere among the people.
Organizing many cultural and sports activities around Hoan Kiem lake to stimulate demand for socio-economic development
In the field of culture and sports, the Department will coordinate with organizations and enterprises to deploy cultural and sports activities and events in the form of socialization, organize cultural activities, perform arts and sports at regional stages around Hoan Kiem Lake and other locations in the City; organize regular art and cultural performances on Saturdays and Sundays in the pedestrian street space at 7 performance points managed by the Department of Culture and Sports, at the Cam Tu Monument area by units and theaters under the Department’s implementation, organize cultural activities, art performances in Ha Dong district and Ho Van area – Temple of Literature, organize martial arts performances, competitions and sports activities to attract people at the Ly Thai To monument area.
Also, the Department will coordinate with the Center for the promotion of investment, trade and tourism, Vietnam Aviation Corporation to develop a plan and organize a program to promote Hanoi’s cultural – tourist destination in 2020 associated with the street festival “Hanoi green destination” held in June 2020.
Cultural and sports activities are organized to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, step by step improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people of the Capital, thereby coordinating with other branches of the city to deploy solutions to stimulate consumer demand, especially the tourism sector in the post-COVID-19 period.
