This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival took place very special – when the Covid-19 pandemic continued to have very complicated developments, children were not allowed to attend parties to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with friends. To bring the children a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, the Communist Youth Union- Youth Federation- Student Union – Hanoi City Junior Union and the city-wide organization – Youth Union – Association – Team have always followed closely, held many meaningful activities to take care of children across the capital, to welcome a special but warm and loving Mid-Autumn Festival with children.

On the afternoon of September 21, the City Youth Union – Vietnam Youth Federation in Hanoi city coordinated with the Executive Board of the Pickup Vietnam Club – PVC club, the PVC Rapid Response Boat Team with the support of the Waterway Traffic Police Team visited, encouraged, and donated computers and tablets to children in the fishing village of Van Duc commune (a fishing village along the Red River). 

25 sets of computers and tablets with a package of digital sim devices and broadcasting equipment with a total value of VND 130 million are paid by the City Youth Union – Vietnam Youth Federation in Hanoi city and other organizations, individuals and benefactors donated to children living in a fishing village along the Red River, with the desire to join their families and local authorities to take care of them, helping them have all the necessary learning equipment to attend homeschooling with other friends when they can’t go to school in person. 

In addition, 50 “Welfare bags – Hanoi of gratitude” worth VND 15 million (each bag includes food and Mid-Autumn gifts) were also given to households with young children living in the fishing village along the Red River, some poor people work as fishermen on the river, using boats and rafts as their houses. The 50 gifts are the heart, companionship and sharing of the City Youth Union – Vietnam Youth Federation and members of the PVC Rapid Response Boat Team for poor people, with the desire to “ One piece of food while hungry equals a big box of food while full”, “don’t leave anyone behind” and wish the children a lot of joy and a warm Mid-Autumn Festival in difficult times due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
