On October 10, 1954, Hanoi was liberated, opening a new era of the Ho Chi Minh era in the development of Thang Long – Hanoi. Hanoi officially became the capital, the political-cultural – economic – social center of the country. Over the years, the Party Committee and Hanoi people, the next generation following in the footsteps of the previous generation, have achieved many resounding and proud feats in the process of protecting, building and developing the capital.
Celebrating the 67th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2021), the National Library of Vietnam organized a thematic exhibition to introduce 200 documents according to the following contents: Date of return; Hanoi in the years after liberation; Some achievements, opportunities, challenges and development of the Party Committee and people of Hanoi city; A number of typical cultural features, famous landmarks and landscapes of Hanoi to review the glorious tradition, strengthen propaganda and introduce the history and culture of the nation; promoting external information, introducing the elegant beauty of Hanoians, the achievements of the capital during the renovation period…
The National Library of Vietnam displays more than 200 documents about Hanoi capital
The 200 documents on display are part of the Collection of thousands of books written about Hanoi capital currently being stored, preserved and served at the National Library of Vietnam. These books are valuable resources to help readers study and learn about Hanoi – the capital, the heart of Vietnam.
The exhibition will take place until the end of October 20, 2021 at the National Library of Vietnam, located at No. 31 Trang Thi, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
