The work is performed with the desire to contribute to spreading the good and humane things and optimistic spirit and the will of rising so that we can all win the Covid-19 pandemic together.
The dance group “Light of the soul” is artistically directed by People’s Artist Pham Anh Phuong – Chairman of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association. Artist Tuyet Minh – Standing Vice President of Vietnam Dance Artists Association wrote the script and acted as the general director with the participation of more than 150 artists from the North and South. The work has the duration of 42 minutes, recreating the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic with the participation of all social sectors, with the desire to spread the message “fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy”.
According to choreographer Tuyet Minh, the dance group “Light of the soul” is non-profit and inspired by everyone and was created for everyone. Therefore, she and the production crew held recordings in the studio and many different locations such as schools, dormitories, sidewalks, etc. to realistically portray what is happening in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam. The work will bring the audience a dance movie rather than a simple dance work as usual.
The dance group “Light of the soul”, with the coordination of the Vietnamese dance community in response to the calling of choreographer Tuyet Minh from the beginning of September 2021 with the desire to build a work of art that reflects the hardships of the frontline forces, praises the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the Vietnamese people from the image of simple and rustic people in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Not only that, the work will contribute to spreading the results of Vietnam’s efforts to “fight the pandemic like fighting the enemy” when the Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting the health and disrupting the life of Vietnamese people in particular and people of many countries around the world in general.
In just a short time, hundreds of dancers across the country have registered to participate, including artists who are currently F0 in quarantine areas…
After more than a month of practice and recording, the dance group “Light of the soul” was completed and released to the public.
According to choreographer Tuyet Minh, when conditions permit, “Light of the Soul” will be performed on stages, stadiums, etc. so that audiences who love dance can enjoy and look back on the unforgettable difficult days in the fight against Covid-19 through this meaningful work.
