Uoc Le is an ancient village known for its traditional craft of making lean pork pie, famous throughout the country. The village’s lean pork pie and pork bologna making profession dates back about 500 years. The difference of the Uoc Le lean pork pie and pork bologna is that there is no common recipe in processing spices, each house has its own unique and creative features. Products of Uoc Le village are very diverse and rich, from lean pork pie, beef pie, stir-fried pork pie to cinnamon bologna, fried bologna… but the most famous are still lean pork pie and cinnamon bologna.

The festival of lean pork pie and pork bologna culinary culture of Uoc Le Village includes the following activities: Introduction of the cultural space of lean pork pie and pork bologna culinary culture of Uoc Le Village; introduced products and practical processes to create culinary products of Uoc Le lean pork pie and pork bologna. In particular, the festival recreated the traditional process of pounding pork with a stone mortar; make and install a 180kg cinnamon pie to promote and teach the next generation.

The festival is organized by the Uoc Le Lean Pork Pie Cooperative to promote the unique features of Uoc Le culinary culture, honor the value of craft villages and contribute to the development of the local economy.
