The 1st Book and Reading Culture Festival in 2024, organized by the People’s Committee of Son Tay Town and the Town Party Committee’s Propaganda Department, will take place from October 31 to November 4, 2024, at the Son Tay Town Stadium Square.
The theme of the 1st Book and Reading Culture Festival in 2024 in Son Tay is: “Books Open Worlds, Knowledge Opens the Future!”
Books and reading culture have always been a priority for Son Tay Town.
This event is part of a series of cultural activities celebrating the 555th anniversary of Son Tay’s official name (1469 – 2024) and the 100th anniversary of Son Tay Town’s establishment (1924 – 2024).
The festival will feature a range of activities, including exhibitions showcasing different genres of books from publishers and bookstores. There will be seminars and exchanges with speakers and experts on books and reading culture. Additionally, a photography and fine arts exhibition themed “Son Tay – Journey of History and Culture” will display artworks and photographs from fine arts and photography clubs both within and outside the town. Books will also be donated to libraries in several local schools. Cultural activities and traditional games will also be part of the event.
