Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, stated that fencing is an Olympic sport and one of the key disciplines that Hanoi invests in. Through this event, fencing athletes from across the country had the opportunity to compete, exchange experiences, and improve their skills, thereby promoting the development of international fencing training. The competition also served as an opportunity to assess and evaluate training quality and select top athletes for the national fencing team, in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games (2025) in Thailand.
