The championship was co-organized by the Vietnam Ice Skating and Roller Sports Federation, the Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, and Vincom Retail Operations Co., Ltd.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Pham Xuan Tai, delivering the opening address.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Director Pham Xuan Tai emphasized that the championship serves not only as a healthy recreational platform promoting physical fitness among youth but also as an opportunity for athletes to connect, exchange experiences, and enhance their skills. The event offers talent scouts a prime chance to identify outstanding athletes for selection to the national team, providing rigorous training and preparation for international competitions. These include prestigious events such as the 2025 Winter Asian Games in China, the World Junior Figure Skating Championships, the Asian Speed Skating Championships, and the Southeast Asian Speed Skating Championships. Accumulating points at these competitions will help secure spots for Vietnam at the 2028 Olympics in the United States. Additionally, the upcoming SEA Games 33 in Thailand in 2025 is expected to feature figure skating and, for the first time, speed skating as official events.

The organizing committee presented commemorative flags and flowers to participating athletes.
Held over two days from November 2 to November 3, this year’s National Youth Ice Skating Championship attracted nearly 100 athletes from across the country, including representatives from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Vietnamese athletes residing and training abroad. Competitors vied for medals in 28 categories, with 20 sets awarded for speed skating and 8 for figure skating.
To elevate the competition’s quality and professionalism, the organizers invited international experts, judges, and technical supervisors from South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
